Description

Lake Kitandara camp is suited close to Bwindi Forest Impenetrable National park. Its environment is so conducive and friendly to all tourists and favors luxurious guests with entertainment that is got from the sweet birds in the impenetrable forest.

The camp has a very charming and friendly atmosphere and feels very much a home away from home.
Recently refurbished in a traditional African style, it has unique tents which retain some original features but also have modern conveniences.

Accommodation:
Lake Kitandara Bwindi camp has a total of 20 comfortable tents which are self-contained and are named after Ugandan bird species. With 24-hour solar power electricity in operation,

Every tent features a bathroom having hot plus cold water. There are solar powered lights in every tent.

A nicely designed verandah looking over the Impenetrable forest, offers you an opportunity to various wildlife and if lucky even Mountain gorillas moving about the camp.

There are also provisions for charging batteries and other electrical gadgets. Meals are tasty and properly prepared with international and local dishes prepared.
The staff is warm and friendly and at all times ready to serve you in accordance with your preference. They offer packed lunch for those going gorilla tracking.

There are as well Camping facilities available and best of all is that it is only a 5 minute walk from this camp up to the park Headquarters found in Buhoma. Don’t miss out the great lasting memorable experience at the beautiful Lake Kitandara.

The Lodge presently offers 2 rooms on the main building and 5 luxury cottages with private toilets and hot showers. All cottages are very well furnished to ensure comfort for all.

The cottages provide a perfect setting for relaxation. From the seclusion of your veranda, you can watch wild animals as jump from tree to tree.
If you are not interested in retiring early in the night, you will definitely enjoy sitting around the camp fire, chatting with other tourists and listening to different animals and bird’s sounds!!

A very well stocked bar overlooking the forest has been built to suit your highest expectations. You enjoy magnificent scenery of the Kibale forest and Rwenzori Mountains
