Generally, trekking gorillas typically takes you through a hike to montane area, dense vegetation to see mountain gorillas. It is possible to go trek gorillas during the wet or rainy season (from March to May or October to November) as well but that is when plenty of rains are recorded.

A normal packing list of gorilla trekking includes items like waterproof hiking boots, a good camera with no flashlight, long-sleeved shirts, daypack, insect repellents, first aid kit, sun glasses, sunscreen, sweater, bottled water, snacks.
