Kiho Gorilla safari lodge is a newly built mid range accommodation situated in Muhanga in the heart of Ruhijha sector in Bwindi Impenetrable forest national park (the home of endangered mountain Gorillas) ,south western part of Uganda. The lodge is near the trekking point. One can be at lodge by road taking approximately 8 hour drive (540km) from Kampala via Mbarara KABALE and one and half hour flight from Entebbe to the close Kihihi airstrip the a hour to be transferred to the lodge .The lodge has a calm and beautiful natural environment with a breathtaking view from the forest and surrounding areas.
Kiho gorilla safari lodge consists of over 10 elegant and comfortable cottages with the view of canopy forest built in African traditional style with local wood with Comfortable proximity. Each room is Well decorated, elevated with wooden platform and furnished with high standards of facilities such as mosquito nets, satellites, extinguishers , en-suite flushing toilets, hot and cold running showers, complementary bottled water etc. Rooms have terraces, sitting areas and wooden balconies you relax while enjoying the stunning breathtaking view of the canopy forest and Virunga Mountains. Rooms have excellent and clean Comfortable bedding, The lodge has fire places with comfortable chairs where guests relax and share stories/ experience about the safari, it also provides warmth to the guests during night, Rooms are configured as single, double, twin, triple and family cottages. Rooms cost 200$ and above per person per night and its always slightly high in peak season.
Kiho gorilla safari lodge offers different services and facilities which include; A restaurant in the main Building that serves different food types both local and continental food to meet clients appetite served by well trained and organized staff . They serve Breakfast while facing the forest , Lunch ,dinner both in and out door dinner.
A well stocked bar with both hard and soft drinks, You relax on the balcony en sip the cocktail while overlooking at Virunga mountains and the canopy forest, laundry services offered at the lodge, WIFI available at the lodge that enables visitors to keep in touch with their families and friends.
