This day trip to the gorillas start from Kigali, the capital of Rwanda. Other possible pickup locations are Kabale or Kisoro in Western Uganda. You will see the endangered mountain gorillas eye to eye in the wild. Seeing some of the last remaining 1000 mountain gorillas in the world is a fantastic experience. This safari takes you tracking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, an ancient tropical rain forest. Bwindi has over twenty habituated gorilla families and the gorillas there live in thicker tropical forest and tracking is more challenging as the hillsides are steeper.

This day trip to the gorillas takes you to the wonderfully green impenetrable forests of Bwindi in South Western Uganda. We travel through the breathtaking mountain scenery heading into the jungles of Uganda where you can meet the endangered mountain gorillas in their natural home.

Upon reaching Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, you will embark on a hike in the forest in search of the mountain gorillas. Join other hikers who are to experience the most exciting adventure in the tropical rain forest.

Your guided walking tour then takes you deep into the tropical rain forests of Bwindi. Here you can learn about the flora and fauna that you can come across during the walk. The hike involves walking up steep densely forested hills before finally coming across the gorillas camouflaged in the vegetation. Tracking in Bwindi requires stamina and can often take most of the day.

Depending on the movement of the gorillas, you will come across a habituated gorilla family and enjoy the company of these great apes. You have up to one hour to watch these great apes. An inspiring moment! Feel free to ask any questions about the gorillas.

After the gorilla trek, return to the park headquarters. Have lunch. Embark on a return trip to Kigali, the capital of Rwanda.
