Gorilla trekking

From Orugano Bwindi Lodge, visitors can safely connect to Bwindi to enjoy guided gorilla trekking adventure. Expect to track the Nkuringo gorilla groups including Nkuringo group, Bushaho, Christmas, & Posho gorilla group. Each of the gorilla groups has its own composition and a unique story to tell the enthusiastic primate adventure seekers. To track one of the habituated groups of Nkuringo, you should have secured a valid gorilla permit which costs USD 800 although this rate is valid up to June.

Golden monkey tracking

Visitors can easily reach Mgahinga National Park from Nkuringo side and engage in golden monkey tracking. Golden monkey treks offer a unique opportunity to interact with a habituated troop of golden monkeys in the wild. The standard gorilla permit is issued at $60 per person and can be secured through our reservation team.

Birding

An overnight stay at Mgahinga and Bwindi presents birders with a rare opportunity to enjoy birding experience. Expect to search birds such as the giant kingfishers, black bee-eaters, black-billed turacos, yellow-whiskered greenbul, brown-capped weaver, Kivu ground thrush, African green pigeon, emerald-spotted wood dove, and laughing dove.
