The 4 days Uganda Gorilla Fly-in Safari is an outstanding safari leading to the south-western side of Uganda within Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, the home to almost half the World’s population of Mountain gorillas. This Safari is unlike any other 4 days Uganda Gorilla safari because instead of driving for hours to the destination, visitors can fly-in from Entebbe International Airport to Kisoro or Kihihi airstrip. This 4 days Uganda Gorilla Fly-in Safari is ideal for visitors who wouldn’t wish to go through the 8-9 hours of traveling.

Day 1: Flight to Kihihi or Kisoro Airstrip and transfer to the lodge
Day 2: Go gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Day 3: Second gorilla trek and cultural tour
Day 4: Fly from Bwindi (Kisoro/Kihihi) to Entebbe International Airport.
Detailed itinerary of the 4 Days Uganda Gorilla Fly-in Safari
Day 1: Fly to Bwindi Forest
After a delicious breakfast, you will be picked up and dropped-off at Entebbe International Airport for your domestic flight to Kihihi in South-western Uganda. On arrival at Kihihi airstrip, you will be welcomed, picked and transferred (road) by a safari guide to your place of stay.
Check-in at the lodge, freshen up and have a delicious and hot meal. In the afternoon after lunch, you will head for a guided forest walk to see some of the fascinating attractions of the Forest including black and white colobus monkeys, vervet monkeys as well as a plethora of forest birds. Later retire to the lodge for rest and prepare your mind and body for the adventurous gorilla trek the next day.

Day 2: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi
Breakfast. Transfer to the Bwindi Park Headquarters for briefing by the ranger guide about the rules and regulations of gorilla trekking. Be allocated a habituated gorilla family of which you will start the trek at 8:00am. The trek is strenuous thus expect hiking steep, muddy and slippery trail for 1-4 hours. Mountain gorilla trekking is adventurous and strenuous but the joy of meeting face to face with the mountain gorillas is overwhelming, with memories lasting forever.
The maximum time to spend with the mountain gorilla is one hour, therefore make good use of it to take photos, record videos and study their outstanding behavior. Return to the Lodge for Lunch. Relax all evening.

Day 3: Gorilla trekking and cultural tour
Breakfast. Go for a second gorilla trek in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. This time you will visit a different gorilla family or even go gorilla tracking in a different sector.

Upon arrival at the airport, be driven to the hotel to freshen-up and have lunch. It’s from here that you will relax for the day or prepare for your next flight to your next destination.
