Day 1: Travel from Kampala to Kibale Forest National Park.

Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Travel from Kampala to Kibale Forest National Park
Have breakfast and get your luggage ready for a pick-up and transfer to Kibale Forest National Park in western Uganda. Make sure to stay awake through your journey because you would be missing out on some of the mind-blowing en-route tourist sites, countryside views and Kopjes. Your 5-6 hours’ journey involves making stops at some important tourist sites such as Nakayima Tree in Mubende where your breath will be taken away by the magical power of this 600-year tree. Continue with the road trip until the Town of Fort Portal for Lunch and the magnificent Crater Lakes for a short tour. Arrive the Park in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Travel time: 5-6 hours.

Day 2: Chimpanzee trekking and transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Enjoy a hefty breakfast and set out for a transfer to the Park Head offices (Kanyanchu Visitor Center) for registration and briefing. After this 30-45 minutes’ briefing, start the trek with charisma and vigor in the company of fellow trekkers, Park rangers and porters, and will involve moving for 1-3 hours of encountering different tree, bird, reptiles and primate species. This thrilling primate walk will climax with a face to face encounter with the chimpanzee that will last one hour. Return to the Lodge for Lunch and transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park.

Travel time: 3-4 hours.
Day 3: Game drive and boat cruise
Be up early for a hot cup of tea or coffee and hop into the waiting vehicle for a game drive through the wildlife-rich areas such as Kasenyi plains where lions and leopards will be Hunting Uganda Kobs, warthogs and bushbucks that will be playing hard to get. Common elands, Defassa waterbucks, buffaloes, elephants and bird species will be encountered during the game drive. Return to the Lodge for Lunch.
In the afternoon undertake a boat cruise, a perfect way to end your day and a chance to see more of the Park’s breathtaking wildlife and bird species. Expect to see hippos, Nile crocodiles, Kobs and Bird species along the papyrus swamps or on the water. Retire to the Lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Have breakfast and check-out of the Lodge for a drive southwards of the Park to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, through the majestic Ishasha sector-the home to the extraordinary tree climbing lions. This increases your chance to encountering the Park’s wildlife species and have an en-route Lunch at Savannah Resort Kihihi. Arrive Bwindi in the late afternoon for relaxation at the Lodge, dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Gorilla trekking and Batwa Cultural tour
After a night of sweet wilderness dreams, have breakfast and move to the Park Headquarters with your packed Lunch for briefing. This briefing is one the dos and don’ts of gorilla trekking which ends at 8:00am when you have to move to the starting point for the gorilla trek. Trekking normally takes 1-5 hours or even half a day due to the constant movement of the mountain gorillas and found they are found, you have one hour to watch them. Ensure to carry a rain jacket, walking stick, hat, sunglasses and wear hiking boots for this trek and once your time with the gorillas is done, have Lunch and rest. In the evening you will have a visit to the nearby Batwa Community to experience their mind-boggling ancient culture.

Day 6: Return to Kampala
